Turn your life stories into a song, comic or children's book

Creations

Your stories can become more than a book.

Any story you tell can become a song, a podcast, a comic, a children's book, or an audio story read in your own voice. Your whole book can become an audiobook.

  • Song
  • Podcast
  • Comic
  • Children's book
  • In your voice
  • Audiobook

The examples on this page were made by Biographer from the stories of Anita Ferrante, a made-up storyteller we use for testing.

A children's book

A picture book to read aloud, with every person in your story redrawn as an animal.

  • Choose Modern or Vintage pictures.
  • Biographer asks you to check the characters before it draws the pages, or you can skip the checks and let it finish.
  • When it's ready, redraw a page or change its words.
  • Read it full screen with your grandchildren, or download it as a PDF.
The cover of The Biscuit Tin, a children's book in the Modern style A hedgehog girl writing in a notebook under a fig tree in a city yard, with the words Every time a new leaf opened, Anita wrote down the day.
Modern: The Biscuit Tin
The cover of Linked at the Elbow, Always, a children's book in the Vintage style A chipmunk holding a baby at her door while her friend, an otter, brings a pot of soup, with the words Rosa never made a speech. She just showed up with soup.
Vintage: Linked at the Elbow, Always
The cover of the comic Chairs and Gravy: a woman in an apron at a kitchen door A comic page from Chairs and Gravy: two girls walking arm in arm, then sharing lunch at school, with captions
Chairs and Gravy, from Anita's story about going back to teach at her old school

A comic

Four to eight drawn pages with captions and dialogue.

  • Before it's drawn, check each person's age and look, and add a photo if you like. Otherwise it's drawn as it is the next day.
  • Read it full screen, or download it as a PDF.

A song

An original song about the people and moments in your story.

  • Suggest a genre, a style or artists you love, and Biographer uses them as inspiration.
  • Download the MP3 and copy the lyrics.

Listen

Showed Up with Soup

Made from Anita's story about her friend Rosa, the same story as the Vintage children's book above.

She never made a speech

She just showed up with soup

Walking linked at the elbow

Two girls in a loop

From the chorus

Hear your stories out loud.

An audio story in your own voice

One story read aloud in a recreated copy of your own voice.

  • Read a short passage aloud, or use your conversations if you've talked enough. You hear a sample and approve it first.
  • Family who open the story's share link can hear you read it.
  • It's labeled as a recreated voice, and you can delete your voice recordings at any time.

A podcast

A three-minute radio retelling of your story, told by one narrator.

  • Download the MP3 and copy the script.

An audiobook

Every story in your book, read in your own voice or by a narrator.

  • Made once you have 30 or more stories.
  • Download it as one MP3 or chapter by chapter.
  • You can add it when you order your printed book.

How Creations work.

  1. Pick a story

At the end of any story, or on the Create page, choose what to make. Biographer only offers the kinds that suit that story.

  2. Biographer makes it

Most take a few minutes. A children's book takes longer. We email you when it's ready, or if it needs you to check something.

  3. Keep it or share it

A finished Creation is private until you share it. When you do, the people you've shared with get an email.

Each Creation shows its price before you make it. If a paid one can't be finished, you get your money back.
